Some of the performers at St Ives Guildhall for the 2011 Festival have just been announced:
Sunday 11th September - Barbara Dickson
Monday 12th September - Jacqui Dankworth & the Brodsky Quartet
Friday 16th September - Show of Hands
Saturday 17th September - Seth Lakeman
Monday 19th September - John Williams & John Etheridge
Thursday 22nd September - Focus
Friday 23rd September - Adrian Edmondson & the Bad Shepherds with John Otway (support)
Saturday 24th September - Joey the Lips
A mixture of some previous visitors and newcomers.
Barbara Dickson, Show of Hands and Seth Lakeman, among the returnees, will all prove popular gigs.
Adrian Edmondson & the Bad Shepherds are regulars on the festival circuit - but this is their first visit to St Ives.
Focus - surely not the legendary Dutch prog rockers ?
Joey the Lips look like a great choice to headline the festival closing night - Soul, Blues, Funk with a bit of Motown and Rock according to their website.
Tickets will be on sale from around March and no doubt more gig announcements will follow soon.
Looking good already - the Festival committee are really well organised, which can only bode well for St Ives September Festival 2011.
