Lots going on in St Ives this week as the holiday season gets into full swing. Here is just a small selection.
Today (23rd April) you could check out the Easter Beer Festival at The Castle Inn on Fore Street. More than 45 real ales and cider from around the country with new ales on tap daily. Open from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm and runs throughout the week until the beer runs out.
On Sunday (24th) St Ives School Of Painting are running Art Classes For Children. Fun workshops led by an experienced artist tutor who will introduce exciting techniques and materials for the kids to try out. Cost is £10.00, no need to book. Starts at 10.00 am for ages 5 -11 and 2.00 pm for ages 11 - 16.
On Monday (25th) the legendary Freddy Zapp returns to The Sheaf Of Wheat for a fun Karaoke Night. Starts at 8.30 pm - free entry.
On Tuesday (26th) St Ives Jazz Club are staging Edgar Macias Quintet - a five-piece band that combines different jazz styles and rhythms from funk to South American. Doors open at 8.00 pm with music from 9.00 pm entry on the door £10.00 or £6.00 (club members).
On Wednesday (27th) you could take a final chance to see Zoe Eaton's exhibition - Strange Flora - at Café Art. Open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm - free entry. The exhibition is open daily until it closes on Saturday (30th).
On Thursday (28th) Valerie Hurry of Guided Tours Of St Ives is running her regular guided tour St Ives In The Frame. Meet 11.00 am at St Ives Guildhall. Noo need to book - just turn up - cost is £5.00 per person.
On Friday (29th) Late At The Tate includes free entry to the exhibitions and drinks / snacks available from the rooftop café. Starts at 6.00 at Tate St Ives on Porthmeor Beach.
