St Ives In Stitches - Community Project

St Ives In Stitches - Community Project
St Ives In Stitches - Community Project

St Ives In Stitches is a community project that has involved local people of all ages - creating two beautiful stitched banners depicting Wharf Road and St Ives Harbour as they are today.

The project is led by St Ives Textile Artist Jo McIntosh.

Each panel shows an individual building and was created by one person in a style chosen by them.

The banners are currently on display in St Ives Library - until the end of February 2019.

The next phase of the project is to create banners depicting Fore Street St Ives.

The first meeting of 2019 will be on Wednesday 6th February - 10.30 am - 12.30 pm - at St Ives Salvation Army Hall.

One and all are welcome - regardless of ability. Help is available if you want to learn to stitch or to improve your skills.
