Family Creative Crafts Workshops - St Ives
 


Textile artist Jo McIntosh has a programme of Family Creative Crafts Workshops running in St Ives through August 2016.

All are at The Island Centre, Island Road - an easy walk from St Ives town centre and next to the Island Car Park.

All are suitable for adults and families with children.

Cost is £15.00 for adults and £5.00 for children (with paying adult).

Get creative, learn something new, have fun !

There are workshops every Wednesday morning through August - details:

Make a Clay Tile
Wednesday 3rd August - 10.00 - 12.30
Use air drying clay to make a decorative tile which does not need to be fired in a kiln.

Sew a Felt Animal
Wednesday 10th August - 10.00 - 12.30
Use colourful felt and simple hand sewing to make your own felt animal.

Hand Made Books
Wednesday 17th August - 10.00 - 12.30
Learn a simple bookmaking technique to make a concertina book and a hand sewn book to use as a sketchbook, scrapbook or holiday journal.

Make A Windsock
Wednesday 24th August - 10.00 - 12.30
Decorate a cardboard tube with foil and tissue paper to make a sparkly fish to swim in the breeze.

Weaving
Wednesday 31st August - 10.00 - 12.30
Learn to make a small loom out of card and use colourful textured wool to create a woven picture.

Paper Mache Bowl
Wednesday 13th July - 10.00 - 12.30
Recycle newspaper/magazines to create a unique bowl.

Water Soluble Bowl
Wednesday 20th July - 10.00 - 12.30
Use up fabric scraps, threads, sweet papers etc., with water soluble fabric to make an unusual “fairy” bowl.

Papermaking
Wednesday 27th July - 10.00 - 12.30
Recycle used paper to make sheets of handmade paper and include petals, threads etc. into the paper.
