Snow on the ground in St Ives this morning.

  1. Is there snow again on Porthmeor? Practically nuthin's gritted here in London. Just going out is lethal, literally for a firefighter who slipped and hit his head. Lot's of broken bones reported locally via Twitter. Stay snug and safe, guys.

  2. Same here in St Ives - absolutely no gritting of roads or pavements that I can see. Luckily for us its starting to thaw a bit here now.

Dorcas' bus to Truro College got past Camborne then had to turn around. Then they couldn't get back to St Ives because the road was closed. He managed to get them to Camborne Station where luckily the kids managed to get a train back.

Heard from a friend in Truro that he couldn't get out of the city this morning. Said that the police were just closing the roads - no sign of any gritting there either.

  3. The Canadians laugh at us. They deal with 10ft snowdrifts. The govt could have prepared for bad weather conditions after last winter was so bad but apparently decided that was a once in a blue-moon occasion. Idiots!
