Walk On Trencrom Hill

Trencrom Hill - St Ives Cornwall

Yesterday afternoon was beautifully sunny and I decided to take a couple of hours off from the computer to enjoy a walk.

I headed out in the car to Trencrom Hill. For those who don't know it - near the hamlet of Trink on the back roads south of St Ives.

A short but steep climb up - then amazing views - you can see both north and south Cornwall coasts from up there. Towards St Michael's Mount to the south, St Ives Bay and Godrevy to the north.

I took a few photos - so enjoy the gallery above. I'll be adding a new walks section to my OneStIves website soon, including this one.

  1. As always there are places of beauty just around the corner. Will do it in the next few weeks and well done Steve for highlighting it.

  2. Steve, which road do you take, Not found it yet. Set off from Carbis bay near the cemetery and then the signs melted away.

  3. Drive down through Lelant, then at the mini roundabout turn right onto the "coach road" - pst The Watermill Inn. Take the first left - at Lelant Downs - the minor road towards Cripplesease - not the turning immediately after at the same junction signposted for Trencrom. Continue for about half a mile - there is a small car park on the right. The path up the hill is through a metal gate - see pics above. Hope that helps - Steve.

  4. Yes Steve, it has helped. I have finally been. Great views and ever better to see more than views, you are high enough to watch the rain coming across from the coast.
